We are here to guide you when someone dies, from the first phone call to after the funeral we will always be there for you. Arranging a funeral is not an easy process, but with our help hopefully things will be easier for you.
When you call us for the first time, we will take some initial information from you, including personal details about your loved one, such as name, date of birth and their religion.
We will also take your personal information and that of anyone else who will need to be involved in making the arrangements.
We will ask some initial questions surrounding the wishes for the funeral such as whether it will be a cremation or a burial. If you do not know this information when you first make contact do not worry, we can discuss the options with you.
We will then make an appointment for you to come into one of our funeral homes to meet with us, or if you prefer and it is easier a telephone appointment to go through the arrangement process.
During the appointment with us we will talk about all the requirements for the funeral service and we will guide you through the paperwork and give professional advice for what to do next and who needs to be informed.
Things to consider for the appointment:
We will work with you to tailor a funeral to your requirements and will offer suggestions on how you can personalise a funeral service. We will guide you through the process of what we do and will keep you updated every step of the way.
At the end of the appointment there will be some paperwork to complete, whilst you do this, we will draw up an estimate of charges for you. We will be there to answer any questions regarding the paperwork and will help you complete this as we know it can be daunting. We will then go through the estimate of charges with you, being entirely transparent with all costings. We have no hidden costs.
Following our appointment we will arrange all the times and dates for you, and will send an email confirming everything that has been discussed and what the next steps are. If there are any outstanding items where you may need to come back to us we will advise of these so you don’t need to worry about forgetting what to do.
