A Little About Us
Memories Funerals was founded in 2018 by
husband and wife David and Helen Ollerenshaw,
who have spent most of their lives living
in Romiley.
Having experienced bereavement themselves,
they understood just how important it was
for families to have someone local, familiar
and genuinely caring to turn to.
They also recognised that many funeral
directors were becoming part of larger
national companies and felt there was
a real need for a truly independent,
family owned funeral service at the
heart of their community.
What began as a desire to help local
families soon became something they
both felt incredibly passionate about.
In 2021, Simon joined the team, bringing
with him many years of experience in
funeral directing. Working closely together,
they have continued to grow Memories,
with funeral homes now established in
both Romiley and Offerton.
Despite that growth, our values haven't
changed. We remain a small, independent
business where personal relationships
matter. We take the time to get to know
the families we look after, listen to
what matters to them and make sure every
funeral is arranged with the same care
and attention we would want for our
own loved ones.
