When someone dies abroad the process for arranging a funeral is different to when someone dies in the United Kingdom, and there are a lot of different aspects to consider. In most cases where the person who dies has valid travel insurance, the insurance company will cover the cost of bringing the person back to the United Kingdom to allow for a funeral service to take place at home.

We will make contact with a funeral director in the country where the person has died and all other relevant bodies including the embassy’s associated with the country where the person has died. We will keep you informed at all times and will be open and transparent with all costs concerned for you.

We will guide you through the process of obtaining all necessary death certificates and any other paperwork that will be required for you to attend to all affairs surrounding the estate of the person who has died.

Repatriation is a word which is also applied to the movement of a deceased person from a location within the UK to another location. This is again something we can help with. If you have a loved one who has passed in another part of the UK and would like the funeral to take place locally then please make contact with us and we can guide you through the process. Whilst this is a simpler process than a repatriation from abroad it can still be a daunting task and we will be here for you.
